Career paths are not linear. If anyone tells you that their career path has been straightforward and easy, they are fortunate and blessed. There is no possible way to have everything figured out for our career once we graduate high school or college. Opportunities arise, and things happen that cause you to shift your path, pivot, and make necessary and substantial changes along the way. This is why having a Mid-Career GPS is vital to helping you navigate all of the bumps and detours you’ll face on the road ahead.

You may feel that other professionals or colleagues are farther ahead on their career journey as you navigate your career transition. And some are. But let them have their journey, and you have yours. While real, Imposter Syndrome will not help you build your Mid-Career GPS and reach the goals you want.

In this episode, I’m sharing four steps to help you navigate your Mid-Career transition. These steps will help you prepare, position, and promote who you are and what you do, so you can #SHOWUP find a job you love or love the job you have. Also, I share the importance of and the power of the word “YET.” Your career transition is happening. It just hasn’t happened YET. Knowing that will help you manage your thoughts and keep the mind drama at bay.
